A Rebellion Crushed (Open) Empty A Rebellion Crushed (Open)

Post by Okami Sun Jun 24, 2018 9:19 pm

The streets of the 17th Ward were in a hush as dark began to fall, the few people out and about scurrying around to find cover before the horror begins. That is, everyone except for a white-haired man with piercings leaning on the wall of an alley just out of sight. The large briefcase in his right hand hung almost lazily as he flipped through the screens on a smartphone with his other hand, reading through what would seem to be gibberish to anyone looking. In reality, they were orders from the Main Office of the CCG.

Okami wasn't in uniform at the moment, instead wearing a band t-shirt and black jeans complete with combat boots, looking the part of just about any goth or biker in the area, not that there were many. It would be an issue if he were recognized as a member of the CCG at the moment, as it would blow his cover. There was an uprising of ghouls in the area that needed to be put down. The CCG's grip on the area was tenuous at best, and even the other, unaffiliated ghouls in the area were beginning to get nervous. Aogiri Tree was a thorn in the Commission's side at the moment, and they didn't have time to deal with other gangs trying to make a name for themselves by following in the terrorist organization's footsteps. Therefore, instead of sending a squad that could deal with the situation given time, they sent an Associate Special Class Investigator that could end it within a day or two of arriving.

Hearing some footsteps heading towards an abandoned parking lot nearby, Okami followed at a leisurely pace, expanding his senses. Sniffing the air, and listening to the vague muttering, the ghoul hunter stopped briefly, waiting for everything to settle down to get an accurate count. Twelve, plus another six on guard...Fuck.

Eighteen ghouls conspiring was a veritable shitstorm for the local area's Bureau. Hell, Okami wished he had at least some backup. It's not that he couldn't handle it. It's more that there was a slight chance that he might not be able to handle this normally.

Well, this was going to hurt.

A Rebellion Crushed (Open) Empty Re: A Rebellion Crushed (Open)

Hidan walked the dimly lit streets of the 17th ward. He had come to get some intel from one of his contacts in Aogiri Tree. The Manager had apparently heard some disturbing rumors of some sort and had sent him to use his connections to figure out what was going on. He sighed as he walked, his hands in the pockets of his black trench coat, he wondered how his life had turned out this way. Shrugging off such distasteful thoughts, he would continue walking towards the meeting place, when suddenly a familiar smell caught his attention. Looking to his right, he could smell that it was coming from within a nearby alleyway, but he knew this particular smell may not be a friendly at the moment.

Leaping up, climbing the building nearest him, he would slide on his mask, the blank porcelain with a single scar shape running over his right eye. Nothing else present but two blank eyes and a thin, sinister smile. Looking down, he could see a group of ghouls discussing something and the CCG member seemingly eavesdropping. But, the man was not in his CCG dress, so it could stand to reason he wasn't exactly on official business? Or perhaps he was trying to be undercover? Though any ghoul worth their salt would recognize that type of briefcase a mile away. Though the man smelled enough like a ghoul to blend in well enough. He decided he would wait and watch, to see what exactly was going on here, before he felt he needed to get involved.

A Rebellion Crushed (Open) Empty Re: A Rebellion Crushed (Open)

Walking out onto the pavement, Okami instantly gathered the attention of every ghoul in the vicinity, including their leader, an A-Rated ghoul known as Rip. The rest were assorted B and C-Rated ghouls, about eight of the former and nine of the latter. Looking around, the Investigator spoke in an innocent tone of voice as he pressed the release on his quinque, the heavy chokuto forming as the briefcase fell away. "You know, I get the feeling I'm not terribly welcome here. Kind of sad, you know? I'm Okami Kokugatsu, by the way-"

He was cut off as a pair of C-Rates charged him. Slashing through the throat of the first, he would block the second's wild punch with the side of his forearm before slashing off his left leg below the knee, dispatching him while he screamed in pain. Giving Rip a smile, he finished his statement without even batting an eye at the bloodshed. "-Associate Special Class Investigator with the CCG. I'm going to have to ask you all to die."

With that, all hell broke loose. Most of the remaining C-Rates were dispatched nearly immediately by Okami, with the others being slain by their comrades in an attempt to get to the Investigator. B-1 died with the blade of Okami's quinque through his eye, and B-2 followed with his own kagune, a Bikaku-type, rammed through his heart. Better than B-3, at least, who was stabbed by B-4's Koukaku before it was promptly shoved up his own ass.

The remaining four B-Rates quickly figured out that working together was better, and Rip joined in after he found that his unfortunate team wasn't as good as he thought. Unfortunately for Okami, things didn't go as well. Rip's Koukaku-type kagune was stronger than his Kasanegusari, and it showed when the last six inches of the blade broke off when he tried attacking the woman affectionately dubbed B-6.

After a short time, he was left on the ground, all five remaining ghouls still standing. Ironically his own quinque was rammed through his ribs, and he had a gaping hole in his gut from Rip's kagune. This...was not good.

That is, it would have been had he not stood back up, his hair shadowing his eyes. Pulling his blade out of his lung and dropping it on the ground, steam rose from his ribs as he looked up, his single kakugan standing stark in his left eye as a sadistic grin crossed his face. As his own Rinkaku manifested and formed into a blade-like shape, whispers of his old name, the name he carried as an S- Rated ghoul echoed before the screaming began.

Five minutes later, he hadn't put his kagune or kakugan away, as he was feasting on Rip's body. His companions were...disposed of already, and he was the last one alive, although judging from his whimpering he wouldn't be for long.

For his part, Okami-or Odin, depending on how you looked at it-was enjoying himself. It had been a while since he had had a good meal. They fed him decently enough, but he needed more. While he was on the streets he had picked up the habit of cannibalism due to the amount of ghouls that managed to piss him off, and the simple fact that no matter how you looked at hit he was fucked from that perspective anyway. The CCG didn't necessarily stop him from this habit, but it was technically a secret that he was even half ghoul, so he tried not to do it in front of people.

Besides, other ghouls taste worse than McDonald's, so he'd rather stick to his "rations". He did, however, make sure to keep one of Rip's kakahou intact. He'd need to replace his quinque after this one.

Watching the battle that ensued beneath him, the blood brought saliva to his mouth. It was not well known that he had been a cannibal of sorts in a past, but it is what garnered him the street name, "Beast of Prey" among those unlucky enough to witness his feeding habits. He held out for as long as he could, but eventually his bloodlust won over and he leapt down to the alley. Announcing his presence as to deter any unnecessary conflict, he would speak in a calm, even tone. "Good Evening, Investigator. Did you bring enough for the class?" He would motion to the B-rate's littering the alleyway. He doubted Odin would recognize him as the Beast of Prey, but his mask would give him away as Despair. Not that it mattered to him, he didn't put too much into intrapersonal relationships between the various factions operating around him. He threw his hand in with individuals now. Those who were kind to him received the same from him, and those who weren't... didn't.

Looking to the man, he saw his Kagune still active as he fed. A One-eyed Ghoul, huh? Interesting indeed.

Finishing his meal, Okami smirked at the fellow ghoul from Anteiku as he jumped down. Gesturing towards the sea of bodies, the One-Eyed Ghoul would speak in his best teaching voice. "Now, kids, there is plenty for everyone. Just leave your dear teacher some, too! Oh, about four and four will do for me!~"

It wasn't often ghouls even considered sharing a meal, but Okami was fine with people from Anteiku coming in on his hunting. They had given him a home once upon a time, and so he tried to give back whenever he could. Gathering four B-Rates and four C-Rates, the Investigator dug in. Swallowing a piece of thigh, he looked over at the other man. "So Despair, what brings you here?"

Smiling under his mask, he would lean down to begin picking apart the spoils of his fellow ghouls hunting. Moving his mask to the side somewhat, so that he could eat, but also where he could still see clearly and where the CCG agent couldn't see his face, he would answer the man between bites. "Oh you know, some sight seeing, dropping off some over due library books and running a few errands. What of you, mr. Associate Special Class?" The man was obviously there on some mission, the CCG didn't usually allow their assets to run totally free, though he did not know how much hold the CCG had on this particular asset given their current... activity. There was absolutely no way the CCG would sign off officially on this, though he had a sinking suspicion they didn't know. But, in all honesty he knew many back at Anteiku would frown upon his dining choices as well, but a man's gotta eat! He ate with both a sense of ravenous hunger, but also refined restraint. It was usually quite the spectacle how he ate so quickly but maintained good... 'table manners' as it were. He paid little direct attention to his dining guest other than to listen for his answer, though he did keep himself alert and ready to defend should either more ghouls or Doves show up, or should his 'companion' decide to add him to the menu.
